Ethos is proud to be the headline sponsor and a key contributor to the National Pavement Parking Conference 2026, taking place at the Council House in Birmingham on 18 November.

The conference comes at a pivotal time for the parking and highways sector, with the future approach to pavement parking set to become one of the most significant areas of policy change in a generation.

Pavement parking sits at the heart of parking management, highway operation, accessibility, enforcement and place. Poorly managed pavement parking can create significant barriers for pedestrians, particularly wheelchair and mobility scooter users, people with visual impairments and those travelling with pushchairs. At the same time, developing workable policies requires careful consideration of local highway conditions, parking demand, displacement and the practicalities of implementation and enforcement.

The National Pavement Parking Conference will bring together policymakers, local authorities, accessibility organisations, parking professionals, highways teams and industry specialists to consider what emerging policy means in practice and, crucially, how authorities can prepare for implementation.

As headline sponsor and a key contributor, Ethos will be helping to shape that discussion, drawing upon our extensive experience of parking strategy, kerbside management, accessibility, policy development and public engagement.

With potentially significant change ahead, the conference provides an important opportunity for the sector to move from policy discussion towards practical delivery, ensuring future approaches are effective, appropriate and capable of delivering meaningful improvements to accessibility and the management of our streets.
